Woods Market Garden is a 165-acre farm, producing roughly 30 acres of certified organic vegetables, fruits, herbs, and flowers every year. The farm has been an iconic destination and mainstay of the local community for generations, dating back to the early 1900s when the Wood Family first started farming here\u00a0 The farm is now owned and run by Dan and Elyse, who both hail from Massachusetts. Dan has been farming since he was a teenager, working on his first farm in Vermont\u2019s Northeast Kingdom, and has a degree in Plant, Soil, and Insect Science. Elyse worked for many years in Natural Resource Conservation, living and working all across the country including Hawaii, Alaska, Idaho, Washington, and New York. Dan and Elyse spent close to 10 years living and working in western Washington state before moving back east to purchase the farm. We are excited to help provide our community with delicious and nutritious food and beautiful plants for their gardens and landscape.<\/p>\n

Burnt Rock Farm is owned by Justin Rich and Lindsay Lyman-Clarke. Our farm consists of 12 acres of vegetable production and 6\u00a0acres of intensively managed cover crops on our glacially terraced soils along and above the banks of the Huntington River, stretching from Hanksville north\u00a0to the Lower Village.\u00a0 All crops are certified organic<\/strong> by Vermont Organic Farmers (VOF), and we strive to grow the highest quality produce while also stewarding our prime agricultural soils.<\/p>\n
