A partnership between the Vermont Department of Health, the Healthy Roots Collaborative, and Fletcher Elementary School is promoting healthy lifestyles and social consciousness for Fletcher’s third graders and their families and is benefiting local food shelves at the same time. Deep Root member Angus Baldwin of West Farm in Jeffersonville, VT participated in this initiative, giving students a chance to get out in the field and help harvest some of the crops for their neighbors while learning a bit about how a farm operates first-hand.
